The first weekend of August and the last weekend of May are our two busiest weekends of the year, and almost all of it is ASU. We move 60-80 student apartments around Tempe in those windows, plus a handful at Grand Canyon University in West Phoenix and Mesa Community College.
Student moves are usually small (studio or 1-bedroom, sometimes shared 2-bedroom), short (3-4 hours), and quick to schedule. We have a discounted student rate — 10% off the standard hourly — for anyone with a valid college ID at booking. Most run $300-$500 total for a single student. For multi-roommate moves where everyone's going to different places, we can do split-billing.
Summer storage is something we offer specifically for students. Move out of your Tempe apartment in May, store your stuff in our climate-controlled warehouse off 27th Ave for the summer ($45/month for a typical studio's worth of stuff), and we deliver it back to your new fall apartment in August. Saves you the cost of paying rent on an empty apartment over summer or hauling everything home to mom's.
Common ASU complexes we work at
922 Place, The Local, Vela on the Park, Avana on University, The District on Apache, University House, The Towers at 2nd, Avenir Tempe, plus most of the older College Avenue garden complexes. We know parking constraints and dumpster locations at most of them.
Student rate eligibility
Show valid college ID at booking — university or community college, full-time or part-time, doesn't matter. The 10% discount comes off the hourly labor rate. Doesn't apply to long-distance flat-rate quotes (those are already at our best price).
