If you've got 5-50 desks to move within Phoenix metro, this is what we do every other weekend. Most office relos run Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon so your team walks into a working space Monday. We handle the whole thing: pre-move planning meeting, color-coded labeling tied to your new floor plan, disconnect/reconnect coordination with your IT, and a punch-list walkthrough Sunday evening before we leave.

For specifics: we'll provide moving crates (the plastic ones with hinged lids β€” much faster than cardboard) for desk contents at no extra cost. Each employee labels their own crate with their name and new desk number. Modular cubicle furniture we disassemble, label every panel and connector, and reassemble at destination. Conference tables, executive desks, glass-top items get full pad-wrap and corner protection.

One note on Phoenix office buildings: most Class-A towers downtown and along Camelback require COIs naming the building owner and property manager as additional insureds, plus loading-dock reservations 48 hours ahead. We've worked at most major addresses (Renaissance Square, One Renaissance, Camelback Esplanade, Scottsdale Quarter, Kierland Commons towers) and we handle the COI requests as part of booking β€” you don't need to chase property management.

Common office move questions

Can you do it during business hours? Yes, but it costs more in disruption. We recommend Friday evening through Sunday afternoon for most offices under 30 desks. For larger relos we sometimes split: IT and servers Friday night, furniture Saturday, walkthroughs Sunday.

Do you bring crates or do we? We bring them β€” included free, picked up the following Friday. Plastic crates with handles, much sturdier than cardboard, and they stack on dollies which is faster.

Workstation reassembly? Included if it's standard cubicle or office furniture. For modular systems from specific manufacturers (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Knoll) we usually subcontract reinstall to a certified installer β€” we coordinate but they bill separately.

Meet the owner

"We started with one truck off 27th Ave. 14 years later we're still on 27th Ave."

I'm Marcus Delgado. I grew up in Mesa β€” third-generation Arizonan on my mom's side, my abuelo came up from Sonora in the 60s. Before Desert Ridge I spent eight years dispatching for a Mayflower agent in the West Valley.

In 2012 I bought a used Freightliner with my two brothers and rented bay 4 of a warehouse off North 27th Ave. We did three jobs that first week. We're still in the same building, just with five more trucks and fourteen people on payroll.

What's stayed the same: I personally pick up the phone after 6pm. We don't pay our dispatchers commission so they have no reason to oversell you a packing kit you don't need. And every crew has at least one bilingual mover β€” we serve Phoenix the way Phoenix actually is.

More about us β†’

How a Desert Ridge move works

01

Free walkthrough

Tell us your move size, dates, origin and destination. Studios get a quote in 5 minutes by phone. Anything 2-bedroom and up gets a free in-home or video walkthrough β€” about 30 minutes.

02

Honest written estimate

You get a flat hourly rate (local) or a flat per-job quote (long distance). No fuel surcharge. No mystery line items. Final price barring you adding stuff between estimate and pickup day.

03

Move day

Crew arrives at the start of your two-hour pickup window. Foreman walks the property with you, signs the inventory sheet, and stays your point of contact through delivery.

04

Walkthrough at destination

Before we leave, you walk every room and confirm placement. Anything damaged is documented on the spot and settled within seven days. We do not leave the destination until you say we can.

We move across all of Phoenix metro

Day-rate moves anywhere within ~75 miles of our 27th Ave warehouse. Long-distance to anywhere in the Lower 48.

"Long-distance to Denver. Loaded Friday in Chandler, delivered Tuesday morning in Lakewood. One small dent on a dresser, they Venmo'd me $75 same day to settle it. Honest about what insurance does and doesn't cover."

"Hired Desert Ridge for a 2-bedroom move from Tempe to North Scottsdale. Three guys, six hours, $890 flat. Foreman Hector walked me through the bill before they unloaded β€” no surprises. They wrapped my mom's piano without me asking."

Diego M.
β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

"Used them twice. Second time was Mesa to Gilbert in July, 109Β°F outside. Crew kept the truck doors closed except for loading and ran a small fan inside β€” none of my records warped. Hablan espaΓ±ol lo cual ayudΓ³ con mis padres."

Patricia K.

"Downsizing after 32 years in the same house. The guys were patient with my labeling system and didn't push to upsell packing materials I didn't need. Estimate was within $40 of the final bill."

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book my Phoenix move?

For local moves we usually have spots within 7–10 days. May through August is our heaviest season β€” book 3 weeks out if you want a Saturday. For long-distance we need 2–3 weeks lead time to schedule the route.

Do you charge by the hour or flat rate?

Local moves under 50 miles are hourly β€” flat hourly with no fuel surcharge. Long-distance is a flat per-job quote based on weight and distance. We do an in-home or video walkthrough before quoting anything over a studio.

What happens if my stuff gets damaged?

Standard liability is 60Β’ per pound per item β€” that's federal minimum, included free. Most customers add Full Value Protection at $9 per $1,000 of declared value. We document any damage on the spot and settle within 7 days.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes β€” USDOT 1734502, MC-823491, Arizona Weights & Measures #WM-AZ-09827. We carry $1M goods-in-transit coverage and full Workers' Comp under Arizona ICA. Certificate of Insurance available on request.

Do you move pianos and pool tables?

Yes. We move uprights and baby grands regularly β€” 4-man crew, blankets, dollies, board for stairs. Slate pool tables we disassemble, transport, and re-level on-site (we charge a flat $450 in metro Phoenix).

Phoenix heat β€” does it damage my stuff in the truck?

Trucks hit 130Β°+ inside in summer. We load heat-sensitive items last (electronics, vinyl, candles, wine, medications) so they're in the truck the shortest time, and our long-distance loads run with insulated blankets over those crates. Full breakdown on our packing services page.
